Sorry for writing in English. I can read French at a reasonable level, but for writing it, it just takes to much time for me (even with Google Translate).
This book seemed like a very nice thing to me. But just how many books like this were made? I found a reference here (http://lecercleguimard.fr/fr/hector-guimard-architecte/actualites/ ) that might imply that only a few dozen were made. Does anyone know? Where can I find more info about this collection of drawings/photo’s?
The technic of printing will need a second « planche » to print more than 500, which is too costly and un necessary to print.
But this number of 500 is only a reference number, and is for the years 1920-1930. Considering the time of publication, the number should be considerably less than 500. This reference is from an article about « Portfolios » in 1920s which is in the catalogue of an exposition called « 1925, quand l’Art déco séduit le monde », late 2013, in Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, Paris.
More info about this rare book of Guimard and about the exposition catalogue is available on the site SUDOC.
La merveille…
… Et quel prix !
Mais qu’en faire… ?

Normally, not more than 500.
